The Birth of Mars

A very very long time ago there were two beings of immense power capable of shaping the universe around us who created our origin planet, Earth. They created it as a gift yet a test to the human race. Every other civilization they had created had torn itself apart in the short amount of time they existed in cosmic universe. The two beings attempted to create a planet with perfect living conditions to see if the humans would prosper for eternity. Sadly this did not happen and the human race being to wipe itself out. It started when they began to kill each other for land on Earth. Soon they began to fill the Earth with their pollution and were beginning to run out of room. Luckily the creative humans realized this and began to figure out a way for the human race to survive by escaping Earth for a nearby planet, Mars.
Out of rage and confusion, the two cosmic beings began to fight with who allowed the human’s to change the test of their survival. One slaughtered the other, and as its body of elementary particles fell down to Mars, it shattered into millions of pieces making the planet a barren desolate scarred rock in space. By the time the humans arrived, the planet had no source of substances necessary for humans to live like water or food. Using the creativity that brought them to Mars, they devised a plan to form Mars into a grassy, ocean filled planet similar to Earth.
The remaining celestial being chose to help our ancestors by melting hidden ice on the planet causing water to flood the planet’s surface. Within hours, freshwater was covering the planet’s surface. The being also brought plants and nutrients from what was left of the unpolluted parts of Earth to be nurtured on Mars by its new inhabitants. Sadly, the population of Mars was growing too fast. The great being saw this and began to limit the the required nutrients for us to thrive. We began to split up into factions and countries all with their own share of resources. Some were far too powerful and greedy, so they declared war on Mars. Wiping out hundreds of thousands of colonists, Mars was left with only a few thousand people. Every year in honor of the war, the citizens of Mars hold an annual rebirth where hundreds of people are sacrificed. To this very day, the rebirth continues.
