Colonial Life vs Today

Back in the colonial era life was very different but in some ways the same. One difference was the rights. For example, women back then couldn't own land, but now they can. There are a few similarities such as the right to bear arms (unless Hillary gets elected). Another category is religion. Not all colonies in that era had religious freedom and some people would be forced to leave or killed if they believed in a different religion. Now all religions are welcome in the United States. One last category would be education. Most people back then were probably not as educated as today or didn't have any education.
